There are few experiences in wedding photography that feel this rare — the chance to work alongside someone you’ve admired for years, and witness their vision come alive in real life. Koko King is one of those photographers. In just a few years, she’s built a wedding photography business that’s both artful and fearless, earning recognition as one of the best in the world, with features in Vogue, The Lane, The Wed, Vanity Fair, and beyond.

I had the immense privilege of joining Koko and her partner, Robert Hastings, at a Ser Cassandra wedding on Isla Holbox. Over two unforgettable days, we captured the welcome party and the wedding itself — a celebration that stretched longer than most of my weddings, in the best way. The extended schedule gave me time to explore a mix of film and digital photography, fully immersing myself in the dreamy, romantic, island-vibe aesthetic that surrounded every detail.

The couple was effortlessly radiant, the party electric, and the day itself a perfect fusion of color, creativity, and genuine love. It was a true pleasure to collaborate with the extraordinary coordinator Angela Cardenas. The cherry on top was this wedding was featured in Vanity Fair.
