I’m Polly – a maternity photographer based in Akumal, photographing expectant mothers and couples across Mexico, from the beaches of the Riviera Maya to the colonial streets of Oaxaca. Whether you’re planning a classic maternity session, a creative pregnancy announcement, or combining your shoot with a babymoon in Mexico, I’ll help you create images that feel beautiful and completely yours.

Let me start with a disclaimer. I don’t love the term “maternity photography.” It feels way more matronly than I want your photographs to feel. Pregnancy photoshoots and babymoon sessions can be creative, editorial, and artful – they are truly special and a lot of fun.

The body carrying your little one becomes a sculpture, and I love to photograph bodies in a sculptural way. If you browse my editorial portfolio you’ll notice right away that lines, light and shadow are my jam.

Maternity photography is also such a magical time capsule. It captures a part of your life and relationship that exists in a genuinely finite window. It’s a beautiful opportunity to capture the excitement and the love story before kids enter the picture.

I offer digital and 35mm film photography with an effortless, editorial approach. Candid, romantic, editorial, we can do all of it. Film maternity photography adds a timeless quality: grain, warmth, and a softness that suits this season of life perfectly. For couples who want something more, I also collaborate with a videographer offering Super 8 film maternity video, moving images that capture the same warmth and texture as analog film photography, but alive.
